Argesim C21 benchmark with Modelica components

Argesim C21 models can be implemented in Modelica, even with (mainly) graphical modelling.
Programs still have bugs or inconsistencies in the handling of complex events.
Why the DAE approach to the pendulum doesn't work, remains a mystery.
Can one implement structure-variable systems of different dimension in Modelica graphically?
