Conclusions

• Modeling pneumatics network is difficult:
  • MFL components are very complex and difficult to understand in detail
  • FluidDissipation is complex and lacks good documentation
  • initialisation problem is still unsolved (here)
  • using OpenModelica doesn't make life easier
• But in the end it all worked out:
  • final model works in practice
  • sufficiently accurate
  • open source
• Is the MFL ready for end users?
  • Principally yes:
    • simplify a lot
    • work very hard
